S&P Downgrades Washington Post’s Outlook to Negative

Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services on Wednesday lowered its rating outlook on Washington Post Co. (WPO) to negative from stable and affirmed its A long-term corporate credit rating. The downgrade is in response to a move by the Department of Education to tighten certain regulations on federal student loans. – MW
