Notable Downgrades: Intel (INTC), Potash (POT), ImmunoGen (IMGN), Atmel (ATML), DR Horton (DHI)

Intel Corporation (INTC) was reiterated a ‘Neutral’ by Mizuho analysts on Monday. The broker also cut its price target on the stock to $31 from $32 noting they believe the chipmaker is fairly valued given the challenges in the core PC and wireless handset markets.

On valuation measures, Intel Corp. stock it’s trading at a forward P/E multiple of 12.55x, and at a multiple of 12.31x this year’s estimated earnings. The t-12-month revenue at Intel Corp. is $55.25 billion. INTC ‘s ROE for the same period is 19.97%.

Shares of the $138.13 billion market cap company are down 15.04% year-over-year and 18.20% year-to-date.

Intel Corp., currently with a median Wall Street price target of $33.10 and a high target of $40.00, rose $0.03 to $29.05 in recent trading.

Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (POT) was downgraded from ‘Neutral’ to ‘Underperform’ at Macquarie.

Shares have traded today between $23.70 and $24.30 with the price of the stock fluctuating between $23.70 to $37.60 over the last 52 weeks.

Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc. shares are currently changing hands at 13.11x this year’s forecasted earnings, compared to the industry’s 4.42x earnings multiple. Ticker has a t-12 price/sales ratio of 3.19. EPS for the same period registers at $1.81.

Shares of Potash Corp. have lost $0.74 to $23.71 in mid-day trading on Monday, giving it a market cap of roughly $19.8 billion. The stock traded as high as $37.60 in Feb. 19, 2015.

Morgan Stanley (MS) reported on Monday that they have lowered their rating for ImmunoGen, Inc. (IMGN). The firm has downgraded IMGN from ‘Equal-Weight’ to ‘Underweight’.

Immunogen Inc. recently traded at $12.76, a loss of $1.89 over Friday’s closing price. The name has a current market capitalization of $1.11 billion.

Atmel Corporation (ATML) had its rating lowered from ‘Buy’ to ‘Hold’ by analysts at Craig Hallum on Monday. The name, currently valued at $3.43 billion, has a median Wall Street price target of $9.00 with a high target of $12.00. Approximately 53.30 million shares have changed hands intraday, compared to the stock’s average daily volume of 6.57 million.

In the past 52 weeks, shares of developer of semiconductor integrated circuit products have traded between a low of $5.84 and a high of $10.50 with the 50-day MA and 200-day MA located at $7.87 and $8.58 levels, respectively. Additionally, shares of ATML trade at a P/E ratio of 1.06 and have a Relative Strength Index (RSI) and MACD indicator of 52.78 and -0.33, respectively.

ATML currently prints a one year loss of about 16% and a year-to-date loss of around 12%.

DR Horton Inc. (DHI) had its rating lowered from ‘Buy’ to ‘Hold’ by analysts at Deutsche Bank (DB) on Monday. The firm sees shares as fairly valued at $32, versus $31.61 previous close. Currently there are 9 analysts that rate DHI a ‘Buy’, no analyst rates it a ‘Sell’, and 10 rate it a ‘Hold’.

DHI was down $0.80 at $30.81 in mid-day trade, moving within a 52-week range of $19.29 to $33.06. The name, valued at $11.30 billion, opened at $31.49.

On valuation measures, D.R. Horton Inc. shares are currently priced at 16.73x this year’s forecasted earnings. Ticker has a t-12 price/sales ratio of 1.15. EPS for the same period registers at $1.84.

As for passive income investors, the company pays stockholders $0.25 per share annually in dividends, yielding 0.79%.
