Notable Upgrades: Microsoft (MSFT), Taser (TASR), SkyWest (SKYW), Lockheed Martin (LMT)

Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) was reiterated an ‘Outperform’ by RBC Capital Markets analysts on Wednesday. The broker also raised its price target on the stock to $65 from $57.

Microsoft Corp. shares are currently priced at 36.00x this year’s forecasted earnings, which makes them expensive compared to the industry’s 12.55x earnings multiple. Ticker has a forward P/E of 17.37 and t-12 price-to-sales ratio of 4.85. EPS for the same period is $1.50.

In the past 52 weeks, shares of Redmond, Washington-based company have traded between a low of $39.72 and a high of $56.85 and are now at $54.14.

Shares are up 22.06% YoY.

Analysts at JP Morgan (JPM) upgraded their rating on the shares of Taser International Inc. (TASR). In a research note published on Wednesday, the firm lifted the name with an ‘Overweight’ from ‘Neutral’ rating.

On valuation measures, TASER International Inc. shares are currently priced at 47.49x this year’s forecasted earnings, compared to the industry’s 2.05x earnings multiple. Ticker has a PEG and forward P/E ratio of 3.73 and 47.78, respectively. Price/Sales for the same period is 4.84 while EPS is $0.37.

Currently there are 4 analysts that rate TASR a ‘Buy’, 3 rate it a ‘Hold’. No analyst rates it a ‘Sell’. TASR has a median Wall Street price target of $28 with a high target of $35.

SkyWest Inc. (SKYW) was raised to ‘Outperform’ from ‘Market Perform’ at Raymond James on Wednesday.

SKYW is up $0.79 at $17.82 on good volume. Midway through trading Wednesday, 428K shares of Skywest Inc. have exchanged hands as compared to its average daily volume of 543K shares. The stock has ranged in a price between $17.00 to $18.37 after having opened the day at $17.17

In the past 52 weeks, shares of St. George, Utah-based company have traded between a low of $11.59 and a high of $21.90. Shares are up 34.86% year-over-year.

Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT) was upgraded to ‘Outperform’ from ‘Sector Perform’ by RBC Capital Markets analysts on Wednesday. The broker also raised its price target on the stock to $250 from $220.

LMT is currently printing a higher than average trading volume with the issue trading 1.06 million shares, compared to the average volume of 1.34 million. The stock began trading this morning at $217.83 to currently trade 0.24% lower from the prior days close of $218.26. On an intraday basis it has gotten as low as $217.00 and as high as $221.00.

Lockheed Martin Corp. is up 18.80% year-over-year, compared with a 0.45% loss in the S&P 500.
