Notable Downgrades: GSV Capital Corp. (GSVC), PayPal (PYPL), Netflix (NFLX), GameStop (GME)

Analysts at JMP Securities downgraded GSV Capital Corp. (GSVC) from ‘Market Outperform’ to ‘Market Perform’ in a research report issued to clients on Monday.

GSV Capital Corp., currently with a median Street price target of $15.25 and a high target of $20.00, dropped $2.69 to $6.68 in recent trading.

PayPal Holdings, Inc. (PYPL) was downgraded from ‘Neutral’ to ‘Sell’ with $32 price target at Monness Crespi & Hardt. The firm sees PayPal’s prospects diminishing relative to the rest of the field.

Shares have traded today between $34.36 and $35.50 with the price of the stock fluctuating between $30.00 to $42.55 over the last 52 weeks.

PayPal Holdings Inc. shares are currently changing hands at 36.98x this year’s forecasted earnings, compared to the industry’s 12.55x earnings multiple. Ticker has a t-12 price/sales ratio of 4.98. EPS for the same period registers at $0.94.

Shares of PayPal have lost $1.59 to $34.61 in midday trading on Monday, giving it a market cap of roughly $42.3 billion. The stock traded as high as $42.55 in July 20, 2015.

Robert W. Baird reported on Monday that they have lowered their rating for Netflix, Inc. (NFLX). The firm has downgraded NFLX from ‘Outperform’ to ‘Neutral’ and lowered its price target to $115 from $128, noting subscriber survey suggests potentially weaker U.S. subscribers for the second consecutive quarter.

Netflix Inc. recently traded at $108.69, a loss of $5.69 over Friday’s closing price. The name has a current market capitalization of $46.45 billion.

GameStop Corp. (GME) had its rating lowered from ‘Buy’ to ‘Neutral’ by analysts at Sterne Agee CRT on Monday.

Currently there are 6 analysts that rate GME a ‘Buy’, 1 analyst rates it a ‘Sell’, and 7 rate it a ‘Hold’.

GME was up $0.26 at $28.30 in midday trade, moving within a 52-week range of $27.01 to $47.83. The name, valued at $2.96 billion, opened at $27.04.

On valuation measures, GameStop Corp. Cl A shares are currently priced at 7.64x this year’s forecasted earnings. Ticker has a t-12 price/sales ratio of 0.32. EPS for the same period registers at $3.71.

As for passive income investors, the firm pays stockholders $1.44 per share annually in dividends, yielding 5.14%.
