(HRTX) shares are up 21.28% to $40.70 after the biotech reported positive top-line results from phase 2 study of its anesthetic and anti-inflammatory drug HTX-011 in the management of post-operative pain. Heron said its product significantly lowered pain following bunion removal surgery.

(CTXS) — The cloud computing company targeted by activist hedge fund Elliott Management is making one last attempt at selling itself as a whole before selling its individual assets, Reuters reported, citing people familiar with the situation. The stock rose 2.70 percent to $74.05 in early trading after falling 1.04% on Tuesday.

SunEdison, Inc. (SUNE) – The solar panel maker has signed a power purchase agreement with data center operator Equinix (EQIX) for 150 megawatts of new solar power.
The deal covers all 12 of Equinix’s California data center.

First Niagara Financial Group Inc. (FNFG) is a big mover this session, as its shares are up nearly 13%. The surge came after news the company has hired JPMorgan (JPM) to explore sale.
According to Bloomberg, FNFG has a market cap of about $3.18 billion, based on the number of shares outstanding at the end of the second quarter.
