Brad Pitt Says He’d Reconsider His Views on Capital Punishment for BP Oil Spill

Brad Pitt’s latest comments about what should happen to those responsible for the massive Gulf oil spill — are sure to spark some discussion.

In a new documentary by Spike Lee called “If God Is Willing and Da Creek Don’t Rise”  — a film that marks the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina — the 46-year old actor says that although he opposes the Death Penalty, he would make an exception and consider executing those responsible for the BP (BP) oil spill if he was in power, according to Fox News.

“I was never for the death penalty before – I am willing to look at it again,” Pitt remarked when asked about the situation.

Pitt is featured in the documentary because of his efforts in rebuilding New Orleans, his adopted hometown.

The documentary airs on HBO on Tuesday night.
