NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA) was upgraded to ‘Buy’ from ‘Neutral’ by Nomura analysts on Monday.
NVIDIA Corp. shares are priced at 40.42x this year’s forecasted earnings, compared to the industry’s 12.83x earnings multiple. The company’s current year and next year EPS growth estimates stand at 46.30% and 0.60% compared to the industry growth rates of 9.00% and 33.60%, respectively. NVDA has a t-12 price-to-sales ratio of 4.78. EPS for the same period registers at $1.17.
Shares of e-commerce giant Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) are higher by less than one percent to $718.36 in mid-day trading on Monday, following a note from Piper Jaffray’s Gene Munster, who says that based on Piper’s proprietary analysis of Google (GOOG) search trends Amazon.com’s unit growth is tracking up 26%-28% in the June quarter versus 27% in the March quarter. Munster believes Amazon is gaining “material marketshare” in the eCommerce space. The analyst has an ‘Overweight’ rating on AMZN stock with an $800 price target.
In other Amazon news today, a report out of Reuters claims the Seattle-based company is preparing to launch a standalone music streaming subscription service, placing it in direct competition with rival offerings from Apple Inc (AAPL) and Spotify.
The service will be offered at $9.99 per month and it will offer a competitive catalog of songs, sources familiar with the matter told the publication.
Penn West Petroleum Ltd. (PWE) was raised to ‘Outperform’ from ‘Underperform’ at Raymond James on Monday.
In the past 52 weeks, shares of the oil and natural gas producer have traded between a low of $0.45 and a high of $1.90 with the 50-day MA and 200-day MA located at $0.86 and $0.89 levels, respectively. Additionally, shares of PWE trade at a P/E ratio of (0.19) and have a Relative Strength Index (RSI) and MACD indicator of 75.12 and +0.25, respectively.
OraSure Technologies, Inc. (OSUR) was downgraded from ‘Outperform’ to ‘Market Perform’ at Raymond James.
Shares have traded today between $6.67 and $7.50 with the price of the stock fluctuating between $4.39 to $7.99 over the last 52 weeks.
