Earnings Whisper: F5 Networks, Inc. (FFIV), Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI)

F5 Networks, Inc. (FFIV) is set to announce its Q116 earnings after the market close on Wednesday, January 20. Analysts expect the software giant to report earnings per share of $1.60 and revenue of $485.51 million. That would be $0.24 lower the $1.84 per share posted last quarter and $0.05 higher the $1.55 posted in the Q115. Revenue is projected to be $22.71 million higher than the $462.8 million posted in the same period a year earlier. Meanwhile, EarningsWhisper.com reports a whisper number of $1.62 per share.

As a quick reminder, FFIV reported Q415 EPS of $1.84, $0.09 better than the Street’s consensus estimate of $1.75. Revs increased 7.74% year-over-year to $501.3 million versus the $506.6 million consensus.

The Seattle Washington-based company, which is currently valued at $6.33 billion, has a median Wall Street price target of $115.00 with a high target of $153.00. F5 Networks Inc. is down 25.96% year-over-year, compared with a 7.42% loss in the S&P 500.

Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI) is scheduled to release Q415 earnings after the close today. The Street is looking for EPS of $0.18 and revenue of $3.9 billion. Last quarter, the company posted a significant negative earnings surprise of 57.89%, reporting EPS of $0.08, $0.11 lower than the Street’s consensus estimate of $0.19. Revs fell 6.09% year-over-year to $3.7 billion versus the $3.94 billion reported. Meanwhile, EarningsWhisper.com reports a whisper number of $0.17 per share.

In the past 52 weeks, shares of Houston Texas-based company have traded between a low of $11.20 and a high of $44.71 and are now at $12.10.
