Earnings Whisper: GoPro (GPRO), SunPower (SPWR), Yelp (YELP), Vertex (VRTX), LifeLock, Inc. (LOCK)

GoPro, Inc. (GPRO) is scheduled to release its fiscal 2015 third quarter earnings results after the market closes Wednesday. Wall Street analysts are on average expecting the company to post $435.33 million in sales during the quarter. This would show a 3.67% increase from the Q215 revenue of $419.92 million, and an increase of 55.48% from the same period in Q314. EPS in Q315 are expected to come in at $0.29, a growth rate of 141.67% from $0.12 per share a year earlier. Meanwhile, EarningsWhisper.com reports a whisper number of $0.31 per share.

As a quick reminder, GPRO reported Q215 EPS of $0.35, $0.09 better than the Street’s consensus estimate. Revs increased 71.68% yoy to $419.92 million vs the $395.22 million consensus.

Shares of GoPro, Inc. are higher by nearly 2% to $28.74 in morning trading on Wednesday.

SunPower Corporation (SPWR) is set to announce its Q315 earnings after the market close on Wednesday, October 28. Analysts expect the manufacturer of solar systems to residential, commercial, and utility-scale power plant customers to report EPS of ($0.03) and revenue of $428.85 million. That would be $0.21 lower the $0.18 per share posted last quarter and $0.33 lower the $0.30 posted in the Q314. Revenue is projected to be $233.85 million lower than the $662.7 million posted in the same period a year earlier.

SPWR reported Q215 EPS of $0.18, $0.01 better than the Street’s consensus estimate of $0.17. Revs decreased 25.85% year-over-year to $376.7 million versus the $513.07 million consensus.

SunPower Corporation shares are up less than one percent to $23.85 in early trading.

Yelp Inc. (YELP) is scheduled to release Q315 earnings after the close today. The Street is looking for EPS loss of ($0.09) and revenue of $141.42 million. Last quarter, the company posted negative earnings of 300%, reporting EPS of ($0.02), $0.03 lower than the Street’s consensus estimate of $0.01. Revs however, increased 50.79% year-over-year to $133.9 million versus the $88.8 million reported. Meanwhile, EarningsWhisper.com reports a whisper number of ($0.08) per share.

YELP shares recently lost $0.83 to $22.07. In the past 52 weeks, shares of San Francisco, California-based co. have traded between a low of $20.50 and a high of $63.76.

Shares are down 59.97% year-over-year and 58.16% year-to-date.

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (VRTX) is scheduled to report Q315 results after the market close today. The Street has consensus estimates of ($0.30) in earnings per share and $245.84 million in revenue. In the Q3 of the previous year, Boston Massachusetts-based supplier of tech posted ($0.37) in EPS and $179 million in revenue.

As a quick reminder, VRTX reported Q215 EPS of ($0.54), $0.04 better than the Street’s consensus estimate of ($0.58). Revenue increased 20.29% on a year-over-year basis to $166 million versus the $149.7 million consensus.

VRTX shares recently lost 64c to $120.37. The stock is up more than 10% year-over-year and has gained roughly 2% year-to-date. In the past 52 weeks, shares of Boston, Massachusetts-based company have traded between a low of $97.45 and a high of $143.45.

Vertex Pharmaceuticals closed Tuesday at $121.01. The name has a current market cap of $29.45 billion.

LifeLock, Inc. (LOCK) is scheduled to release its 3Q15 earnings results after the closing bell on Wednesday. Checking in on the numbers, the Street’s estimates for the quarter reflect an expected profit of $0.25 per share, up from $0.15 in the same quarter last year. Revenue is projected to post a 23% year-over-year increase to $147.36 million from $120 million a year earlier.

As a quick reminder, LOCK reported Q215 EPS of $0.10, $0.01 better than the Street’s consensus estimate of $0.09. Revs increased 25.32% year-over-year to $145 million versus the $143.63 million consensus.

LOCK shares recently gained $0.08 to $9.83. In the past 52 weeks, shares of consumer identity theft protection services provider have traded between a low of $7.18 and a high of $19.15.

Shares are down 47.33% since the beginning of the year.
