Google Inc. (GOOG) – Reuters details news that General Motors Co (GM) is open to work with the search giant on developing self-driving car technology.
“I’m not in charge of deciding what we will and won’t do, but I’d say we’d certainly be open to having a discussion with them,” GM’s chief technology officer was quoted as saying in an interview at the Detroit auto show.
Lauckner made his comments two days before the head of Google’s self-driving car project, Chris Urmson, is scheduled to speak at a conference held annually in conjunction with the auto show.
On valuation measures, Google Inc. shares are currently priced at 26.13x this year’s forecasted earnings compared to the industry’s -63.52x earnings multiple. Ticker has a PEG and forward P/E ratio of 1.40 and 17.04, respectively. Price/Sales for the same period is 4.92 while EPS is $19.00. Currently there are 33 analysts that rate GOOG a ‘Buy’, 10 rate it a ‘Hold’. No analyst rates it a ‘Sell’. GOOG has a median Wall Street price target of $632.00 with a high target of $750.00.
In the past 52 weeks, shares of Mountain View, Calif.-based company have traded between a low of $487.56 and a high of $604.83 and are now at $493.59. Shares are down 11.59% year-over-year.
Ocwen Financial Corp. (OCN) shares tumbled 38% in late trading on Tuesday. Move attributed to reports that the state of California may soon suspend OCN’s mortgage license, saying “the payment collection firm has failed to turn over documentation showing that it complies with California laws protecting homeowners.”
On valuation-measures, shares of Ocwen Financial Corp. have a trailing-12 and forward P/E of 5.73 and 3.99, respectively. P/E to growth ratio is -3.08, while t-12 profit margin is 8.62%. EPS registers at $1.33. The company has a market cap of $961.22M and a median Wall Street price target of $15.00 with a high target of $25.00.
On trading-measure, OCN has a beta of 0.75 and a short float of 26.12%. In the past 52 weeks, shares of Atlanta, Georgia-based company have traded between a low of $7.38 and a high of $55.87 with its 50-day MA and 200-day MA located at $18.83 and $25.45 levels, respectively.
OCN currently prints a one year loss of about 77.87% and a year-to-date loss of around 19.27%.
