This Wall Street Journal chart shows last week’s performance of different major global financial markets.
What’s different from the previous three weeks, and as the chart above illustrates – which shows return correlations between various asset classes, REIT’s are no longer the top gainer class (REIT’s shed 5.0% during the week). Instead, U.S. investment grade bonds have taken the list’s top spot by recording a modest gain of 1.4%. Global Stocks’ came in second with 0.2%.
On a year-over-basis [y/y], excluding U.S. IG bonds, U.S. Corp. junks, greenback trade-w, and EMS, the rest of the asset classes remain still in the red.
