U.S. Economic Growth Slows to 1.8% in Q1

U.S. economic expansion slowed in the first 90 days of 2011 to an annualized rate of 1.8%, down sharply from the 3.1% pace of growth in the final quarter of last year, The Commerce Department said Thursday. Economists had forecast 2% growth. The figure however, is a first estimate, and could be revised either up or down.
