The head of the IMF warned Wednesday that the fallout from the global financial crisis is “far from over,” and if the response is handled incorrectly the seeds of the next crisis could already be growing. In a speech that was part admonition, part “we told you so,” IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn said despite progress in shoring up financial system regulation to address the causes of the crisis, the effort is not moving far or fast enough especially in strengthening supervision and crisis resolution mechanisms. – iMarketNews
