NYSE short interest falls 0.4 percent

NYSE Euronext Inc. (NYX) said late Tuesday that short interest on the New York Stock Exchange fell to 13.84 billion shares as of April 30, compared with 13.89 billion shares on April 15. The fall in NYSE short interest represents the third consecutive decline since mid-March. On Nasdaq, short interest rose to about 7.081 billion shares as of April 30 from 7.076 billion shares in the first half of the month – Reuters
