SEC Meeting With U.S. Exchanges Yields No Results on Cause of Market Plunge

The chief executive officers of the biggest U.S. exchanges could provide no evidence that a mistaken order or a ‘fat finger’ caused last week’s stock – market selloff. In a two-hour meeting today with the SEC, heads of the biggest U.S. trading venues could not give a clear reason to last week’s market plunge, two people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.
