Brazil’s Vale Asking 114% Iron Ore Price Increase – DJ reports Brazilian mining company Vale do Rio (VALE) is asking clients to accept a 114.4% price hike to $122.20 a metric ton for top quality sinter feed iron ore for the period April through June, the Valor newspaper reported. Last year Vale’s iron ore reference price was $57 a ton, Valor said.
