Dow sells Styron to Bain for $1.63 billion. Dow Chemical Co. said Tuesday it sold its Styron division to Bain Capital Partners for $1.63 billion. Midland, Mich., Dow Chemical also has the option to receive up to 15% of Styron equity as part of sale, and the transaction includes several long-term supply, service and purchase agreements, the companies said in a joint news release – MW
