Morning Buzz: ULTA Salon (ULTA), Spectrum (SPPI), Netflix (NFLX), Oasis Petroleum Inc. (OAS)

ULTA Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. (ULTA) reported fourth quarter EPS of $1.69 after the closing bell Thursday, compared to the consensus estimate of $1.54. Revenues increased 21.1% from last year to $1.27 billion. Analysts expected revenues of $1.24 billion.

For the current quarter, the beauty products retailer guided revs of $1.016 -$1.033 billion, as compared to analysts’ expectations of $1.01 billion. The management also gave its bottom line range of $1.25-$1.30 per share, against projections of $1.22 per share.

ULTA is up $21.11 pre-market to $184.50.

Shares of Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SPPI) are higher by nearly 17% to $6.39 in pre-market trading on Friday. With no specific news to account for the move, the strength is being attributed to the company’s narrower-than-expected loss in Q415.

Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) shares surging 1.89% to $99.20 in pre-market trading. Not seeing any news or rumors to account for the move. It’s possible ticker is rebounding after yesterday’s underperformance.

NFLX shares have declined 23.33% in the past three months. Over the past 5 trading sessions the stock has lost 0.58%.

Oasis Petroleum Inc. (OAS) are up 4.34% in pre-market trading following the name’s upgrade to ‘Neutral’ from ‘Sell’ by Goldman Sachs (GS) on Friday morning.
