Notable Downgrades: Chimerix (CMRX), Covanta Holding Corp (CVA), NetApp (NTAP)

Analysts at JP Morgan (JPM) downgraded Chimerix, Inc. (CMRX) from ‘Overweight’ to ‘Neutral’ in a research report issued to clients on Tuesday.  The target price for CMRX is lowered from $65 to $15. The name was also downgraded to ‘Market Perform’ at William Blair.

Chimerix Inc. rose $0.42 to $7.04 in recent trading. Shares of the $325.33 million market cap company are down 82.91% year-over-year and 83.56% year-to-date.

Covanta Holding Corporation (CVA) was reiterated an ‘Outperform’ by Wedbush analysts on Tuesday. The broker also cut its price target on the stock to $21 from $23.

Shares have traded today between $15.59 and $15.95 with the price of the stock fluctuating between $13.69 to $23.04 over the last 52 weeks.

Covanta Holding Corp. shares have a t-12 price/sales ratio of 1.26. EPS for the same period registers at ($0.11).

Shares of Covanta Holding have lost $0.09 to $15.62 in midday trading on Tuesday, giving it a market cap of roughly $2.08 billion.

The stock traded as high as $23.04 in March 23, 2015.

NetApp, Inc. (NTAP) rating of ‘Sell’ was reiterated today at Monness Crespi & Hardt with a price target decrease of $23 from $27 (versus a $26.57 previous close).

NetApp Inc. recently traded at $26.78, a gain of $0.21 over Monday’s closing price. The name has a current market capitalization of $7.83 billion.

As for passive income investors, the company pays shareholders $0.72 per share annually in dividends, yielding 2.71%.
