Notable Downgrades: Intelsat S.A. (I), Potbelly Corp (PBPB), EOG Resources (EOG), iPass Inc. (IPAS), The Children’s Place (PLCE)

Analysts at UBS downgraded Intelsat S.A. (I) from ‘Buy‘ to ‘Neutral‘ in a research report issued to clients on Thursday.

The target price for Intelsat shares is lowered from $23 to $17.

On valuation measures, Intelsat S.A. stock it is trading at a forward P/E multiple of 5.23x, and at a multiple of 5.47x this year’s estimated earnings.

The t-12-month revenue at Intelsat is $2.50B. I ‘s ROA for the same period is 4.76%.

Shares of the $1.48 billion market cap company are down 28% year-over-year, and 9.16% year-to-date.

Intelsat, currently with a median Wall Street price target of $26.00 and a high target of $30.00, dropped $1.87 to $13.905 in recent trading.

Potbelly Corporation (PBPB) was downgraded from ‘Neutral‘ to ‘Underperform‘ at BofA/Merrill (BAC). The name  has traded today between $15.11 and $16.16 with the price of the stock fluctuating between $10.91 to $21.60 over the last 52 weeks.

Potbelly Corp. shares have a forward P/E  and t-12 price/sales ratio of 1.51 and 47.67, respectively.

Shares of PBPB have lost $0.81 to $15.75 in mid-day trading on Thursday, giving it a market cap of roughly $456.20 million. The stock traded as high as $21.60 in March 4, 2014.

Citigroup (C) reported on Thursday that they have lowered their rating for EOG Resources, Inc. (EOG). The firm has downgraded EOG from ‘Buy‘ to ‘Neutral‘.

As for passive income investors, the company pays shareholders $0.67 per share annually in dividends, yielding 0.70%. Five year average dividend yield currently stands at 0.60%.

EOG Resources Inc. recently traded at $93.20, a loss of $2.11 over Wednesday’s closing price. The name has a current market capitalization of $51.07 billion.

iPass Inc. (IPAS) had its rating lowered from ‘Buy‘ to ‘Neutral‘ by analysts at Chardan Capital Markets on Thursday. Currently there are 2 analysts that rate IPAS a ‘Buy’, no analysts rate it a  ‘Hold’ or a  ‘Sell’.

IPAS was down $0.36 at $0.90 in mid-day trade, moving within a 52-week range of $0.88 to $1.82. The name, valued at $58.17million, opened at $1.23.

On valuation measures, iPass Inc. shares are currently priced at 8.82x this year’s forecasted earnings. Ticker has a t-12 price/sales ratio of 0.78. EPS for the same period registers at $0.10.

The Children’s Place, Inc. (PLCE) was downgraded by Maxim Group from a ‘Buy‘ rating to a ‘Hold‘ rating in a research report issued to clients on Thursday. The firm however, increased its price objective on the stock to $60 a share, up from its previous 12-month base case estimate of $51.

PLCE closed at $57.67 on Wednesday and is currently trading down $1.47.

In the past 52 weeks, shares of Secaucus, New Jersey-based children’s specialty apparel retailer have traded between a low of $44.54 and a high of $64.16 and are now trading at $56.52. Shares are up 8.34% year-over-year, and 1.18% year-to-date.
