Global Asset Class Performance Chart (Sept 14-Sept 18)

Here is a graphical look at how different investments, from REIT shares to crude oil, fared last week.

As the chart above illustrates again this week ; REIT’s dominated the performance spectrum convincingly, gaining 8.6%, followed by Russell 2K, Crude Oil, Commodities Future, and EMs, 4.1%, 4.0%, 3.0%, and 2.8%, respectively. Excluding minimal deterioration from U.S investment-grade bonds and greenback’s 0.1 percentage point, all other global investments posted gains. On a y/y basis however, nine out of the list’s fifteen asset classes continue to be in the red.
