Mystery Buyer of the Most Expensive House in US Identified

Jana Partners’ Barry Rosenstein has bought the most expensive residential property in the country, the New York Post reports.

Rosenstein is set to pay a whooping $147 million for an 18-acre beachfront property in East Hamptons’ Further Lane on New York’s Long Island, the paper reported.

The East Hampton home formerly belonged to the late Wall Street investor Christopher H Browne, whose will was contested after his death, the Post reported.

The $147 million sale of Browne’s home tops the $120 million record set two weeks ago when the 50-acre Copper Beech Farm in Greenwich, Connecticut, sold for $120 million.
