Notable Downgrades: Mirati Therapeutics (MRTX), Juniper (JNPR), Cloud Peak Energy (CLD), Paylocity Holding (PCTY)

Mirati Therapeutics, Inc. (MRTX) was downgraded by Brean Capital from a ‘Buy‘ rating to a ‘Hold‘ rating in a research report issued to clients on Monday.

MRTX closed at $36.66 on Friday and is currently trading down $9.16.

Over the past year, shares of San Diego, Calif.-based clinical stage biopharmaceutical company have traded between a low of $13.69 and a high of $37.43 and are now trading at $27.50. Shares are up 70.19% year-over-year and 98% year-to-date.

Analysts at MKM Partners downgraded Juniper Networks, Inc. (JNPR) from ‘Neutral‘ to ‘Sell‘ in a research report issued to clients on Monday.

The target price for JNPR is set to $22. The firm notes it is unlikely Ericsson (ERIC) will buy Juniper, as has been speculated upon by the press and analysts recently.

On valuation measures, Juniper Networks Inc. stock it’s trading at a forward P/E multiple of 14.15x this year’s estimated earnings. The t-12-month revenue at Juniper Networks Inc. is $4.52 billion. JNPR ‘s ROE for the same period is (6.68%).

Shares of the $10.68 billion market cap company are up 11.06% year-over-year and 25.52% year-to-date.

Juniper Networks Inc., currently with a median Wall Street price target of $26.00 and a high target of $34.00, dropped $0.75 to $27.06 in recent trading.

Goldman (GS) reported on Monday that they have lowered their rating for Cloud Peak Energy Inc. (CLD). The firm has downgraded CLD from ‘Neutral‘ to ‘Sell‘ and set its price target to $3.00, implying 41.40% expected downside from ticker’s current PPS.

Cloud Peak Energy Inc. recently traded at $5.12, a loss of $0.66 over Friday’s closing price. The name has a current market capitalization of $312.19 million.

Paylocity Holding Corporation (PCTY) had its rating lowered from ‘Strong Buy‘ to ‘Outperform‘ by analysts at Raymond James on Monday. Currently there are 7 analysts that rate PCTY a ‘Buy‘. One rates it a ‘Hold‘.

PCTY was down $1.08 at $32.40 in mid-day trade, moving within a 52-week range of $18.50 to $34.83. The name, valued at $1.64 billion, opened at $33.00.

On valuation measures, Paylocity Holding Corp. shares have a t-12 price/sales ratio of 11.99. EPS for the same period registers at ($0.33).
