Citigroup (C) to Begin Laying Off 1,000 Mortgage Unit Workers

FOX Business Network (FBN) reports that Citigroup will begin “laying off mortgage unit workers, they’re going to start with 1,000” and the “places that are getting hit with the layoffs are Las Vegas, Nevada; Irving, Texas; and more states.”

On layoffs at Citigroup:

“Citigroup (C) telling FOX Business that they will be laying off mortgage unit workers, they’re going to start with 1,000 workers. Places that are getting hit with the layoffs are Las Vegas, Nevada; Irving, Texas; and more states. They’re also saying that there may be some more actions by the end of this year. Citigroup also telling FOX Business that they aren’t making any projections for any more layoffs next year in 2014.”
