Microchip Technology Inc. (MCHP) was downgraded from ‘Buy‘ to ‘Hold‘ at Drexel Hamilton.

Shares have traded today between $37.77 and $41.71 with the price of the stock fluctuating between $36.92 to $52.44 over the last 52 weeks.

Microchip Technology Inc. shares are currently changing hands at 22.31x this year’s forecasted earnings, compared to the industry’s 11.35x earnings multiple. Ticker has a t-12 price/sales ratio of 4.01. EPS for the same period registers at $1.85.

Shares of Microship have gained $0.34 to $41.18 in mid-day trading on Monday, giving it a market cap of roughly $8.7 billion. The stock traded as high as $52.44 in March 2, 2015.

Sun Trust Rbsn Humphrey reported on Monday that they have lowered their rating for U.S. Silica Holdings, Inc. (SLCA). The firm has downgraded SLCA from ‘Buy‘ to ‘Neutral‘.

U.S. Silica Holdings Inc. recently traded at $18.39, a loss of $2.59 over Friday’s closing price. The name has a current market capitalization of $981.61 million.

As for passive income investors, the company pays shareholders $0.50 per share annually in dividends, yielding 2.40%.

Thoratec Corp. (THOR) had its rating lowered from ‘Outperform‘ to ‘Market Perform‘ by analysts at Raymond James on Monday.

THOR was down $0.15 at $62.40 in mid-day trade, moving within a 52-week range of $24.02 to $63.51. The name, valued at $3.42 billion, opened at $62.25.

On valuation measures, Thoratec Corp. shares are currently priced at 88.64x this year’s forecasted earnings. Ticker has a t-12 price/sales ratio of 7.08. EPS for the same period registers at $0.70.

Valero Energy Corporation (VLO) was downgraded by BofA/Merrill (BAC) from a ‘Neutral‘ rating to a ‘Underperform‘ rating in a research report issued to clients on Monday.

VLO closed at $61.14 on Friday and is currently trading down $1.34.

Over the past year, shares of San Antonio, Texas.-based oil company have traded between a low of $42.53 and a high of $71.50 and are now trading at $59.80.

Shares are up 17.26% year-over-year and 26.06% year-to-date.
