Interest rates on U.S. 30-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 4.32% for the week ended Sept. 2, down from the previous week’s 4.36%, according to a survey released on Thursday by Freddie Mac. That was the lowest print since the McLean, Virginia-based co. began compiling the data in 1971.
