Notable Downgrades: Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Broadcom (BRCM), Humana Inc. (HUM), Western Digital Corp (WDC)

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) was reiterated a ‘Sell’ by UBS analysts on Tuesday. The broker also cut its price target on the stock to $2 from $2.20.  Separately, AMD was lowered to $2.50 from $3 at FBR Capital. Firm notes the semiconductor maker negatively pre-announced 2Q/15 revenue and gross margin guidance.

Shares of Advanced Micro Devices have traded today between $2.02 and $2.14 with the price of the stock fluctuating between $2.02 to $4.80 over the last 52 weeks.

Oppenheimer reported on Tuesday that they have lowered their rating for Broadcom Corp. (BRCM). The firm has downgraded BRCM from ‘Outperform‘ to ‘Perform‘.

Broadcom Corp. recently traded at $50.91, a loss of $0.67 over Monday’s closing price. The name has a current market capitalization of $30.43 billion.

As for passive income investors, the company pays shareholders $0.56 per share annually in dividends, yielding 1.10%. Five year average dividend yield currently stands at 1.20%

Humana Inc. (HUM) had its rating lowered from ‘Buy‘ to ‘Hold‘ by analysts at Argus on Tuesday.

Currently there are 6 analysts that rate HUM a ‘Buy‘, 1 analyst rates it a ‘Sell‘, and 13 rate it a ‘Hold‘.

Humana was down $3.75 at $185.21 in midday trade, moving within a 52-week range of $115.51 to $219.79. The name, valued at $27.74 billion, opened at $188.40.

On valuation measures, Humana Inc. shares are currently priced at 23.72x this year’s forecasted earnings. Ticker has a t-12 price/sales ratio of 0.56. EPS for the same period registers at $7.81.

As for passive income investors, the firm pays stockholders $1.16 per share annually in dividends, yielding 0.60%.

Shares of Western Digital Corporation (WDC) are down $0.75 to $79.07 in midday trading. Needham reiterated its ‘Strong Buy’ rating while lowering its 12-month base case estimate on the name by 23 points to $101 a share.

WDC closed at $79.82 on Monday and is currently trading down $0.81.

In the past 52 weeks, shares of Irvine, Calif.-based data storage solutions provider have traded between a low of $77.26 and a high of $114.69 and are now trading at $79.00. Shares are down 15.72% year-over-year and 27.06% year-to-date.
