Notable Downgrades: Texas Instruments (TXN), MobileIron (MOBL), Qualcomm (QCOM), Adtran Inc. (ADTN), Las Vegas Sands (LVS)

Exane BNP Paribas reported on Thursday that they have lowered their rating for Qualcomm Incorporated (QCOM). The firm has downgraded QCOM from ‘Outperform‘ to ‘Neutral‘ and lowered its price target to $68 from $78.

Qualcomm Inc. recently traded at $67.83, a loss of $1.11 over Wednesday’s closing price. The name has a current market capitalization of $111.90 billion.

As for passive income investors, the company pays shareholders $1.92 per share annually in dividends, yielding 2.90%. Five year average dividend yield currently stands at 1.90%.

Adtran Inc. (ADTN) had its rating lowered from ‘Buy‘ to ‘Hold‘ by analysts at Needham on Thursday. Currently there are 2 analysts that rate ADTN a ‘Buy‘, 1 analyst rateS it a ‘Sell‘, and 9 rate it a ‘Hold‘.

ADTN was down $0.61 at $16.00 in mid-day trade, moving within a 52-week range of $15.67 to $24.13. The name, valued at $855.04 million, opened at $16.18 versus a $16.61 close.

On valuation measures, Adtran Inc. shares are currently priced at 20x this year’s forecasted earnings. Ticker has a t-12 price/sales ratio of 1.41. EPS for the same period registers at $0.80.

As for passive income investors, the firm pays stockholders $0.36 per share annually in dividends, yielding 1.90%.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) was reiterated a ‘Buy’ by Stifel analysts on Thursday. The broker however, cut its price target on the stock to $62 from $72, implying 16% expected downside.

LVS shares recently lost $1.16 to $55.23. In the past 52 weeks, shares of resorts operator in Asia and the United States have traded between a low of $49.82 and a high of $81.25. Shares are down about 27% year-over-year and 1.88% year-to-date.
