Apple’s (AAPL) much rumored ‘iPad Air Plus’ will be launched between April and June 2015, according to a report by Japanese magazine Mac Fan, via AppleInsider. The publication claims the new tablet will include an LCD screen measuring 12.2 inches x 8.7 inches and will be powered by a next-gen A9 processor. The news contradicts earlier rumors that say the bigger-screened iPad will be running on the same modified A8X processor.
The report, which comes with some possible schematics depicting the design of the new tablet, also notes the new iPad will have four built-in speakers — on the edges of its enclosure — to offer a better stereo listening experience in any orientation.
It’s worth noting that Mac Fan published drawings with accurate dimensions for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus before their launch. Its claims however, regarding the physical size of the device’s display were way off.
