Aaron Tornell is Professor of Economics at UCLA, specialized in International Economics, Political Economy and Robust Control. His current research deals with Lending booms, financial crises and economic growth, as well as Robust forecasting and asset pricing. Recent publications include "Systemic Crises and Growth" (Quarterly Journal of Economics, 2008, with Romain Ranciere and Frank Westermann) and "Balance Sheet Effects, Bailout Guarantees and Financial Crises" (Review of Economic Studies, 2004 with Martin Schneider).
