According to a new report from Belgian site ‘Belgium-iphone.lesoir.be’ (via 9to5mac), Apple (AAPL) could finally put their new 21.5-inch iMac on sale today, with the 27-inch model to follow in December as initially planned by Cupertino at last month’s announcement. The site also reports that the new eighth-generation iMac profiles would be available for online orders at approximately the same time.
Apple originally said the new ultra-slim iMacs (80% thinner than the line before them) would become available in November, but nearly couple of weeks ago there were reports asserting that the tech giant would delay the new iMac all-in-one PC models until 2013. That said, it seems like Cupertino will just make the November deadline, and most importantly, not miss the all-important holiday shopping season.
Separately, 9to5mac reports it received information from a source, claiming that “Apple Store managers were briefed on iMacs coming in as soon as [today]”, Tuesday, Nov. 27, but after polling several sources from different Apple retail stores across the globe, the tech site found that, “Apple Store inventory systems do not point to the new iMacs arriving [today].” 9to5mac notes however, that it’s “very practical, as a new product, that Apple will ship the new iMacs to stores under the radar.”
Hopefully, Apple’s online store will be updated with new info regarding the iMacs soon.
