General Electric Co (GE) thinks the global economic climate is continuing to improve and that increasing oil prices have not yet taken a toll on expansion, the largest U.S. conglomerate’s chief executive said. “Things are getting better every day. The global economy outside the U.S. is strong,” CEO Jeff Immelt told reporters on Wednesday ahead of the company’s annual shareholders meeting.
