RIM Plans to Run Android Apps on Playbook Software

Research In Motion Limited (RIMM) spikes to session highs on increased volume. Bloomberg is reporting RIMM Playbook operating software could use Google‘s (GOOG) Android applications. RIMM’s own internal OS/ Software is expected to be completed in the second-half of fiscal 2011.

RIMM is up $2.93, or 4.85%, to $66.60. Volume has exploded with more than 13.5 million shares already trading hands compared to a daily average volume of 11.9 million. Ticker day’s range: $63.19 – $67.20.
