MOS Surges to New 52-Week High

Shares of The Mosaic Company (MOS) printed a new 52-week high during Wednesday’s trading session. The stock rose 4.8 percent to $74.90 after jumping to $75.14 earlier. The 52-week high in the name is at $74.99, printed November 9, 2010.

Technically speaking, over the last six month shares of  MOS have gained over 100%. Year-to-date, the security has risen 19.71%. MOS currently trades at a trailing P/E of 32.64, a forward multiple of 15.59 and a P/E to Growth ratio of 2.32. More than 4 million shares have already traded hands compared to a daily average of around 4.6 million.

The 50-day moving average in the name is $69.23 and the 200-day is $56.49. The median Wall Street price target on the stock is $75.50 and the high target is set at $90 with majority of analysts have a “Buy” rating on the co.’s stock.

MOS gained $3.80, or 5.30 percent, to $75.24 at 2:16 p.m. est in New York Stock Exchange composite trading.

Mosaic is a producer of concentrated phosphate and potash crop nutrients for the global agriculture industry.
