Teradyne Sinks Nearly 6%

Shares of chip-equipment maker Teradyne, Inc. (TER) are down sharply this morning. The equity, which hit an intraday low of $11.68, continues to see a huge volume; more than 11 million shares have already traded hands compared to a daily average of around 6.5 million.

The 50-day moving average in the name, whose current market capitalization prints at $2.2 billion,  is $12.03 and the 200-day is $10.89.

At last check, shares of TER were off $0.60 to $11.98, a loss of more than 5%.
