Michael Dell May Bid for PC Maker

MW is reporting that Dell Inc. (DELL) Chief Executive Michael Dell may bid to buy the computer maker he founded in 1984. Lee Ainslie, the head of hedge-fund firm Maverick Capital Management, broke the news on Tuesday during a speech at the Value Investing Congress in New York.

After the news hit the wires shares of Dell started gaining on heavy volume. The stock i currently trading at $14.00, up 27 cents, on 27 million shares trading hands. Dell’s average 3 month trading volume stands at 23.4 million shares.
