UK’s Prudential PLC is negotiating with AIG to lower the price it will pay for AIG’s Asian unit from $35.5 billion, the WSJ reported Thursday on its Web site. The talks, according to the Journal, are focused on finding a price, possibly around $30 billion, which would be acceptable to both AIG and Prudential’s restive shareholders.
