The Commerce Department said today that the U.S. economy grew in the first quarter at a 3% pace – lower than the 3.2% previously reported. It was the third consecutive quarter of expansion since mid-2009. Most analysts had expected the government would revise higher its estimate of GDP to 3.3%.
