Bloomberg reports that U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s enforcement unit has issued subpoenas in an investigation of last week’s stock plunge.
SEC Chairwoman Mary Schapiro told a House Financial Services subcommittee today that the agency is “fully integrated in [its] review of the events of May 6 and will recommend appropriate action” if violations are found. She also said that “A number of subpoenas” were sent, without identifying recipients.
