Now, you don’t even have to open your phone or computer to place an order to Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN). You can get the Amazon Dash Button and make shopping for household or grocery items easily. This Wi-Fi connected device allows you to reorder certain products by simply pressing a button. This amazing and convenient service is available now for all the Amazon Prime subscribers.

In the US, you can buy a button for only $4.99. You will also receive $4.99 in the form of digital credit immediately after you press the button for the first time. For the German consumers, they can purchase this device for €4.99. In UK, subscribers to Amazon Prime can get it for £4.99. Both come with €4.99 and £4.99 credit so technically, you are getting free money to spend.

How does it work? The buttons actually take advantage of the Internet of Things. These may be placed anywhere around the house where each gadget corresponds to a specific product. Once you press the button, Amazon will charge the customers and bring one round of their orders to their house. You purchase different things like coffee, toiletries, and washing tablets.

Amazon also announced its plans for the replenishment service. This program allows the producers of the connected devices to set certain appliances that will automatically reorder household items if the customer’s supplies are about to run out. If your washing machine is connected to the button, it will automatically reorder detergent for you when necessary. The manufacturers that are currently participating in the Amazon Dash replenishment program include Samsung, Siemens, Bosch, and Whirlpool.

The Dash button was first released in the US. But now, it has made its way to the markets of Germany, Austria, and the United Kingdom. In just the UK alone, there are already over 40 brands that are looking to offer this service to Amazon Prime customers. Some of the companies that expressed their desire to use the button include Gillett, Listerine, and Olay.

According to Daniel Rausch, director of Amazon Dash, “Dash Buttons offer the convenience of 1-Click shopping from anywhere in the home – they can be placed near those frequently used items you don’t want to run out of, and when you see supplies running low, the Dash Button makes it easier than ever to order more. Just press the button and your item is on its way.”

Jorrit Van der Meulen, vice president at Amazon EU, said: “Dash Button gives you the convenience of 1-Click ordering in your home, and with Dash Replenishment we’re taking it one step further – enabling connected appliances to automatically reorder supplies on your behalf.”

“We’ve found that Prime members in the US love the ease that both Dash Replenishment and Dash Buttons offer, and we’re delighted to bring that same convenience to our customers in the UK – with dozens of brands available today and more to come,” Van der Meulen added.
