Notable Earnings: Qualcomm (QCOM), Cirrus Logic (CRUS), Las Vegas Sands (LVS), SanDisk (SNDK), Texas Instruments (TXN)

Qualcomm Incorporated (QCOM) shares are down $0.69 to $63.50 in after-hours trading Wednesday after the company reported its third quarter 2015 earnings results.

The chipmaker posted earnings of $0.99 per share on revenues of $5.83 billion, down 14.3% from a year ago. Analysts were expecting EPS of $0.95 on revenues of $5.85 billion.

Outlook: Qualcomm guided Q4/15 revenues of $4.7 to $5.7 billion, as compared to analysts’ expectations of $6.13 billion. The management also gave its bottom line range of $0.75 – $0.95 per share, against projections of $1.08 per share.

Cirrus Logic Inc. (CRUS) reported fiscal first quarter 2016 EPS of $0.54 after the closing bell Wednesday, compared to the consensus estimate of $0.48. Revenues increased 85.2% from last year to $282.6 million. Analysts expected revenues of $270.66 million.

Outlook: The company guided Q2/16 revenues of $290 to $310 million, as compared to analysts’ expectations of $274.26 million.

The stock is currently up $4.26 to $34.97 on 3.34 million shares.

Shares of Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) rallied nearly 4% to $57.06 after the company released its earnings results on Wednesday. The operator of Integrated Resorts  reported Q2’15 EPS of $0.60 per share vs. $0.61 consensus on $2.92 billion in revenue, down 19.4% from a year ago and below views for $2.99 billion.

SanDisk Corp. (SNDK) gained $3.77, or 6.97%, to $57.95 in after-hours trading after it reported second-fourth quarter earnings.

The flash-memory chip handed in earnings of $0.66 per share on revenue of $1.24 billion, beating Wall Street estimates of $0.34 per share on revenue of $1.20 billion.

Shares of Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN) gained $0.70 to $50.00 after the company reported second-quarter earnings of $3.23 billion, or $0.65 per share. Analysts had been modeling $3.26 billion and $0.66 per share.

For the current quarter ending in September, Texas Instruments said it expects revenue in the range of $3.15 billion to $3.41 billion, as compared to analysts’ expectations of $3.45 billion. The company also gave its bottom line range of $0.62 – $0.72 per share, against projections of $0.74 per share.
