Midday Watch: Learning Tree Int’l (LTRE), TG Therapeutics (TGTX), Apple (AAPL), Recro Pharma (REPH)

Shares of Learning Tree International (LTRE) are surging by 39% to $1.94 at the start of trading on Thursday morning, after the company announced it will be awarded a $320 million contract from the U.S. Government’s General Services Administration. Note that LTRE’s reported revenues in FY/14 were $118.2 million. So this is a big deal for the Reston, Virginia-based company.

Update: Learning Tree confirms details of GSA contract, saying that as of the date hereof, it does not anticipate that the award of the New GSA Schedule will result in any additional business or revenue to the Company than the Company expected to receive prior to the award of the New GSA Schedule.

Shares of TG Therapeutics, Inc. (TGTX) jumped $2.29, or 15.31%, at $17.25, in late morning trading, after the company announced a favorable safety profile for patients in its Phase 2 clinical trial of TG-1101 in combination with ibrutinib.

Apple Watch 2 may feature FaceTime camera, expanded Wi-Fi capabilities and possibly additional models based on new materials, according to 9to5Mac. The publication claims the second generation model is likely to be introduced in 2016.

Recro Pharma, Inc. (REPH) is trading 21% higher to $13.65. The move comes on a big volume too with the issue currently trading more than 170K shares, compared to the average volume of 128K shares. Brean Capital today reiterated a ‘Buy’ rating and raised its price target on the name to $28 from $26.
