Morning Watch: Rosetta Stone (RST), MagnaChip (MX), Himax (HIMX), CyberArk Software (CYBR)

Rosetta Stone Inc (RST) is up $1.21, or 18.76%, at $7.64 after the company said Friday that it is evaluating “an expression of interest” from New York Investment firm RDG Capital Fund Management. The company also reported that it is actively implementing its strategic plan, which it believes will deliver attractive value for shareholders.

MagnaChip Semiconductor Corporation (MX) shares rose 13.93 percent to $7.25 after surging 8.19 percent on Thursday. The move comes on a big volume too with the issue currently trading more than 1.4 million shares, compared to the average volume of 413K shares. Magnachip reported a Q1/15 non-GAAP loss of $0.28 per share (vs. $0.32 yoyo) on revenue of $164.885 million, a 1.7% decline compared to $167.7 million for the fourth quarter of 2014. The company named its YJ Kim as chief executive and Jonathan Kim as chief financial officer.

Himax Technologies, Inc. (ADR) (HIMX) shares declined nearly 5% to $6.20 on Friday, giving it a market capitalization of roughly $1.1 billion. The name was downgraded this morning to ‘Sell’ from ‘Neutral’ at Chardan Capital Markets.

Cyberark Software Ltd (CYBR) recently traded at $62.40, a nearly 3% loss over Thursday’s closing price. The cybersecurity company announced this morning that it has filed a registration statement on Form F-1 with the SEC for a proposed public offering of its ordinary shares. Cyberark said a majority of the shares are expected to be sold by shareholders of the company and approximately $50 million of the shares are expected to be sold by CyberArk.
