Notable Downgrades: Ericsson (ERIC), Vale S.A. (VALE), Triangle Petroleum (TPLM), Alcatel-Lucent (ALU)

Analysts at Swedbank downgraded Ericsson (ERIC) from ‘Buy‘ to ‘Neutral‘ in a research report issued to clients on Wednesday.

On valuation measures, Ericsson ADS stock it’s trading at a forward P/E multiple of 14.70x, and at a multiple of 30.85x this year’s estimated earnings.

The t-12-month revenue at Ericsson is $26.01 billion. ERIC ‘s ROE for the same period is 7.77%.

Shares of the $41.01 billion market cap company are up 1.74% year-over-year and 6.53% year-to-date.

Ericsson, currently with a median Wall Street price target of $12.75 and a high target of $16.00, dropped $0.24 to $12.65 in recent trading.

Vale S.A. (VALE) was downgraded from ‘Overweight‘ to ‘Neutral‘ at JP Morgan (JPM).

Shares have traded today between $5.95 and $6.10 with the price of the stock fluctuating between $5.45 to $14.93 over the last 52 weeks.

Vale S.A. ADS shares are currently changing hands at 101.61x this year’s forecasted earnings, compared to the industry’s 11.41x earnings multiple. Ticker has a t-12 price/sales ratio of 1.06. EPS for the same period registers at $0.06.

Shares of VALE have gained $0.06 to $6.00 in mid-day trading on Wednesday, giving it a market cap of roughly $30.90 billion. The stock traded as high as $14.93 in July 29, 2014.

Robert W. Baird reported on Wednesday that they have lowered their rating for Triangle Petroleum Corporation (TPLM). The firm has downgraded TPLM from ‘Outperform‘ to ‘Neutral‘ and lowered its price target to $5 from $6.

Triangle Petroleum Corp. recently traded at $6.28, a gain of $0.42 over Tuesday’s closing price. The name has a current market capitalization of $481.12 million.

Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) had its rating lowered from ‘Outperform‘ to ‘Market Perform‘ by analysts at Bernstein on Wednesday.

Currently there are 15 analysts that rate ALU a ‘Buy’, 1 analyst rates it a ‘Sell’, and 8 rate it a ‘Hold’.

ALU was down $0.95 at $3.98 in mid-day trade, moving within a 52-week range of $2.28 to $4.96. The name, valued at $11.07 billion, opened at $4.14.
