Microsoft - Yahoo: Official Talks Are Back
By Ron Haruni · Jun 24, 2008 · Author's Website
TechCrunch Blog is reporting - that according to sources, at both Yahoo and Microsoft - official talks are back on between the two companies. It is possible the talks are about a full buyout again, not a sweetened search-only deal.
TechCrunch however, admits their information is thin, but what one source is saying is that Microsoft is talking a price lower than the $33 they were offering when the talks disintegrated in May.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise, given Yahoo’s recent share price, currently around $22 level and the fact that just about everyone, excluding Yahoo’s top execs, are publicly asking for a deal. No comments so far from Microsoft.
