I just had a chance to review the trade logs from Friday (I crashed a couple hours before market close...Tokyo sucks lol).
Just wanted to point out to you guys that Ron wasn't referring to you in his comments. Specifically you guys wrote...
"Basically ron, if we dont have a good call to make, we just shut up"
"when i make newb comments about thinking a particular stock is cheap or may be a good buy, should i not be doing that since i dont really know?"
Now, I know Ron. He and I go way back. And he is not the type of guy who would EVER discourage any sort of conversation like you guys are talking about. Absolutely nothing wrong with that whatsoever.
So I'd say, feel free to continue doing what you're doing. It's totally fine.
His issue, and it has now been addressed in the "forum rules" so there's no grey area...is with anybody writing about winners "after the fact". Like "hey, I just sold Baidu at $322, after picking it up this morning at $294"...and trying to imply that it's a "winning call".
It doesn't work that way. I mean, it's fine if you mention that in casual conversation...but that's not the way to build a rep as a great stock picking site...if you recommend a stock it's got to be IN REALTIME with the price you got in at.
And if it's wrong, we take you out back and shoot you.
j/k of course. There's nothing wrong with a trade that doesn't work out EITHER. It's the nature of the game...some picks go south even with the best research and intentions (I heard a rumor that Ron once recommended Enron
). Everyone is responsible for their own Due Dilligence, and if they follow your recommendation it's up to them to moniter it if it doesn't work out well too. And NOONE is 100% (well, Lambo might be around 99.9999% so far, I haven't calculated), and noone expects you to be.
So, clear? I just want to make sure you guys didn't misinterpret what Ron was saying or thought it pertained to you guys. It didn't, I assure you.
He's working to make sure this is the best stock zone on the net, and doing a damned fine job of it. We're all lucky to be here, trust me on that one!
Could you guys reply please (I suppose you could reply with an "f you" if you don't agree with me lol)? Just so I know you read it?
