mrkts quiet today ahead of the release of the Sept. 18 FOMC Minutes at 14:00 ET. Market participants are hoping to get a better understanding why the Fed cut the federal funds and discount rates by 50 basis points. Investors will also be looking for indications of the likelihood of further rate cuts....Dow up 15.94 Points rtq, +4.10 rtq

choppiness continues, but the stock mrkt has managed to stay in positive territory throughout the session. The major indices are holding modest gains at the mid-day mark as investors anticipate the September 18 Fed policy meeting minutes at 14:00 ET.....Dow up 16.10 Points , Naz +1.46

Small-cap stocks, which outperformed the broader market last week, are lagging behind today. The Russell 2000 Index is flat, while the S&P 500 is up 0.2%. Year-to-date, the Russell 2000 is up 6.7%, which is lagging behind the 9.5% gain in the S&P....Dow up 21.06 Points, Naz +2.81

mrkts taking a dip here due to a broad based decline, but is still though barely in positive territory.....session still remains choppy.

major indices are back on the rise printing highest levels for the session...Dow up 37.64 Points, Naz +7.12.
