Stephan Danninger

Stephan Danninger is senior economist in IMF's Research Department where he works in the World Economic Studies Division. Mr. Danninger, an Austrian national, holds a Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University.
He started his career at the IMF in 2000 and held assignments working on Germany, Lebanon, Sweden, and Switzerland, before taking up his current position.
His policy and research interests are open macroeconomics, growth and labor economics, and public finance. His research has been published in the Journal of Political Economy, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, and IMF staff papers.
