Sergi Jiménez-Martín

Sergi Jiménez-Martín is currently Associated Professor of Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Director of the LaCaixa-FEDEA chair on Health Economics at FEDEA (Madrid). Until 2004, he was Associated Professor of Economics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

He holds an M.A. in Economics Analysis from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a PhD from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

He is director of Cuadernos Económicos de ICE and has been associate editor of the Spanish Economic Review. He is also World Bank consultant. He is currently interested in Social Security and Retirement, and Health Economics.

For the last 12 years he has been an active member of the International Social Security Group of the NBER and has contributed to all the Social Security and Retirement around the World volumes. He has published in several top Labor and Health Economics journals, and has contributed in several Chicago University Press monographs.
