Alasdair Scott

Alasdair Scott is a Senior Economist in the World Economic Studies division of the IMF Research Department, working on the World Economic Outlook report. Previously, he was an economist at the Bank of England and Reserve Bank of New Zealand.

His research has focused on macroeconomic modeling and business cycles, with articles published in the Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control and the Journal of Development Economics, with courses taught for the IMF, Centre for Central Banking Studies and at the University of Oxford. He studied at the University of Auckland and Princeton University.
